Nine club members attended Rendezvous 2024, hosted by the Vernon Club in Armstrong. Some interesting finds and visits. The weather wasn't the greatest, but the worst downpours were short lived.
Field Trips
Picture stone site, before the storm hit.
The field trips are about the hunt, but if you want to spend money, there was lots of variety.

There was a talented jade carver demonstrating some amazing work - unfortunately I didn't get any photos.
It was a well attended event and despite weather that discouraged sitting outside sharing stories, I had a good time. Great photos Sam!
ReplyDeleteWe went to the Larch Hills for Picture Stone and to Paxton Valley for agate nodules and came home with some Auction and Bucket Raffle items that will be in play for some time.
It was our 22nd Rendezvous enjoying many people we've known for years and meeting new young members with their kids. Sam's photos show the amazing variety of stones you can expect to see at one of these events. I was especially excited to find a fist-sized Blue Agate in the gravel pit that we visited.
