2. Free dry camping will be available at the Arena.
3. Prices and menus for all activities to be provided as soon as finalized.
4. The Lions Club R/V Park in Chase has been reserved solely for the BCLS, until they
begin to receive reservation requests from outside parties. Therefore it is important to
reserve as soon as possible, if you plan to stay at this facility. Contact Hannalore
Wiesenthal, at 250-679-7712 to make your reservation, and identify yourself as a
member of the BCLS.
5. Two large road construction projects will begin as early as possible in the spring 10-15
km west of Chase, in the vicinity of Ponderosa Pines RV Park. This could cause a strain
on accommodation availability in the Chase region. Therefore we would urge you to
book your reservations as soon as possible.
6. Good quality rocks and rock-related items are wanted for the rock auction. Please
support your society by donating a nice piece. Bring them with you or have someone
bring them if you are not planning to attend.
7. Donations are also wanted for the bucket raffle. They do not have to be rock, or rockrelated.
8. Club Members are invited to display their collections. There are 13 showcases available
in the Interior Zone. These cases will be allocated based on the date they are
committed to. After all showcases have been allocated, any other members wishing to
display will have to bring their own case. A signup sheet for display cases will be
emailed to all clubs in the near future.
9. Club Members are also invited to demonstrate one (or more) of the lapidary arts. On the
same signup sheet noted in 8) above, you will be asked if you will demonstrate and if
you will require power.
10. We are planning to hold all activities at the Arena, with the exception of the Sunday
Supper, the BCLS General Meeting and the Monday Pancake Breakfast, which shall be
