April 27th Field Trip

Eleven club members participated in the outing on Sunday. Mud and snow got in the way of accessing a site on Orofino Mountain, but some interesting pieces were found when we stopped at a clearing to discuss plan B. Our picnic lunch was at Yellow Lake. The massive rock slide on 3A was so thoroughly cleaned up, that the hope for zeolites was dashed. After lunch, some went home, a couple checked the side of the highway, and others headed up towards Mt. Laidlaw.
