Interior Zone Campout

Hosted by the Vernon Club at Quilakwa RV Park in Enderby. Thank-you Lorraine Stacey and your team for a great weekend.
  • Hot Dogs cooked over the open fire on Friday night
  • Potluck and silent auction under the tent on a wet Saturday night.
  • Pancake breakfast with much more. on Sunday morning
  • Lots of visiting, and of course the field trips.
  • Saturday night tradition - ice cream, with great toppings!
Seven Penticton Club members attended the event, and all chose the Saturday outing to the Crystal Man Wholesale in  Enderby. They opened for a couple of hours just for us, and we toured the gallery, the "garage sale" and the warehouse. We all spent money, and left with some treasures. It is well worth seeing if you are in the area - check ahead for their hours and days of operation. They have an event in August when the warehouse stuff is all on display.

Change of Date for July Field Trip

The Clarke Lake field trip has been moved by one day. Now will be July 8th

June 3rd Meeting at Duane and Katherine's Home

Thank-you Duane and Katherine for your hospitality yesterday. A few raindrops didn't dampen the spirits, and we ate our burgers and potluck outdoors. We had tours of their straw bale home and their indoor and outdoor rock collections. Duane showed us his lapidary equipment, and opened and rinsed a freshly tumbled batch of rock.

Sorry - lost the focus in the tripod confusion

Everywhere we looked..........

Jerome polished these samples for the family of the gentleman who donated rock to the club.
